The Ecoschools website is a great place to look for strategies to get environmental issues into lesson and unit plans while working within the curriculum guidelines.

This looks like a great program! I had been thinking about how difficult it might be to use science in the school to connect with the community (which is explicitly stated as necessary in the curriculum documents). This provides a comprehensive system designed to do just that. Its gets students involved in environment both on the individual level and the community level.

I found it to be a very useful site giving grade specific activities relevant to various subject areas. The document I used in class came from the Toronto district School Board and they have been working in conjunction with the group at York University who developed this site.
